Member Spotlight: Meet Krista!

Also see: Wonder Woman.  Krista has been with us since the beginning.  I love seeing how people change and Krista is no exception.  Her encouragement and perseverance is watched closely by so many others.  Here's her view:

How old are?  I am 43

What is your career/job?  Registered Nurse working the in the Cardiac ICU


How long have you been doing CrossFit and/or Yoga? 2.5 Years

Why did you decide to try CrossFit and/or Yoga?   I had heard a lot about it and had some friends that were involved in Crossfit.  I was hooked from the first day.


How often to you go to Metacomet?  3-4 times a week


How do you find the time to get it all in?  Get up early and get it done!  I do the 5:45am class before my day gets too busy.




What is your favorite WOD (workout of the day) or asana (pose)?  My favorite WOD is one from the games.  Deadlift ladder with step-ups.


What results or changes have you experienced – physically/mentally?  I am so much stronger than I was when I started.  Additionally I have gained confidence in myself to try new things and go outside of my comfort zone.

How would you describe the Metacomet community?  We are a diverse group of people that support each other and like to have fun!

What would you tell someone considering CrossFit and/or Yoga?  Don’t be afraid, everything is scalable and with time you will get amazing results.
