How long have you been doing CrossFit and/or Yoga? 5 years (yoga)
Why did you decide to try CrossFit and/or Yoga? I tried a class in college and really enjoyed it. I found that it was a more challenging workout than I expected and a great way to stay in shape.
How often do you go to Metacomet? Once per week.
How do you find the time to get it all in? I set aside time on my schedule to go after work.
What is your favorite WOD (workout of the day) or asana (pose)? I always feel great after any hip opener pose, especially after sitting at a desk all day.
What results or changes have you experienced – physically/mentally? I’ve gained flexibility; I couldn’t touch my toes when I first started practicing yoga, and now I can. I feel that I’ve become stronger and have better muscle tone. Yoga is also a great way for me to mentally “let go” and put life’s challenges in perspective.
What is your diet/lifestyle like? I try to eat fairly healthy, but don’t adhere to a strict diet. I typically eat many smaller meals/snacks throughout the day.
How would you describe the Metacomet community? Friendly!
What would you tell someone considering CrossFit and/or Yoga? Definitely try both! You may be surprised and find a new hobby
